FAQ
-
What if someone other than the child's legal guardian(s) are picking up the child? In order to protect your child, we require that you provide the names of any individual who has permission to pick up your child. We require advance notice from you when someone other than a family member will be picking up your child and will check identification. If we have any questions or concerns, we ask that you are available via cell phone to provide confirmation.
-
Does the center close for weather and holidays?Yes, we will close the center due to inclement weather, and you will be notified as soon as the decision is made. We do close for holidays and professional development days for staff. Parents are given a calendar of closures in the beginning of the school year, or when their child enrolls.
-
Do you accept child care subsidies?Yes! If you are interested in enrolling your child using subsidies, please give us a call!
-
What is your policy on sick children? In order to keep our children, their families and our staff as healthy as possible, we require that any child with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious disease be kept at home for 24 hours until they are symptom free. If a child displays two or more COVID symptoms, they cannot return to program until we receive a negative COVID test.
-
How do you communicate with parents? The parents of infants, toddler and preschoolers receive daily updates through our My TS Family App, which is connected to our education platform, Teaching Strategies. These include diapering/potty times, meal times, nap times, and photo updates. Infants get updates through My TS app as well as a daily log. In addition, we provide a monthly newsletter to share news, event information, and other notes with our parent community.
-
Do you encourage parent involvement? Can I stop by unannounced?YES we absolutely encourage parent involvement, and there are so many ways for parents to get involved. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 regulations, we do not allow unannounced visitors at this time.
-
How do I enroll my child?Give us a call! Once we collect some basic information from you, we will send you an enrollment email so that you are able to register your child!
-
What is your cleaning procedure? All of our rooms have cleaning schedules for different areas of the classroom throughout the week. If a teacher sees a child cough, sneeze or put a toy in their mouth the toy goes directly into the sink in the classroom to be cleaned and sanitized. The rooms are cleaned and sanitized once a day, and the changing tables and bathrooms are disinfected after each diaper change.
